Review for week 5 unit test

Dear Students and Parents of A2,

As we prepare for tomorrow's unit test on Kumak’s Fish, please review the following:

  1. Review all RWN pages:

    • Go over your workbook exercises, especially focusing on the glossary skills RWN P. 70 and sentence structure (declarative and interrogative) RWN P. 66,72, lastly, the key vocabulary of 5 parts of writing a friendly letter RWN p. 64.

  2. Story words from your communication book:

    • Be sure to know the spelling, definitions, and usage of the 24 vocabulary words. You will need to recognize, define, and use them in sentences.

  3. Worksheet review:

    • For multiple-choice questions, practice identifying the correct word in context.
    • In the vocabulary section, review how to match words with their corresponding pictures.
    • Remember to write the best word for each sentence using words like "cheered," "mighty," and "patient."
    • Pay close attention to comprehension questions—think carefully about the setting, characters, and sequence of events in Kumak’s Fish.
    • Be ready to identify key parts of the story and describe why some events seem impossible, like the entire village pulling on the amazing hooking stick.

Review thoroughly, take your time on each section, and remember to write complete answers. You’ve worked hard, and I know you’ll do great!

Carl the Complainer Story Spelling Words from RWNB PPT Week 16 vocabulary words Week 16 Communication book insert As we approach Week 16, we are preparing for a busy and productive time in class. This upcoming week ahead, students will continue their journey through the story Carl the Complainer , which will help reinforce key reading skills, including identifying cause and effect relationships. In addition to reading, we will focus on grammar lessons in our Reading and Writing Notebooks (RWNB), covering pronouns and multiple-meaning words that can function as both nouns and verbs. Week 16 will also mark an important milestone as students take their final Reading Street 2.2  unit test of the semester.
