Week 18 Parent Notice: Exam Preparation and Updates

 


Dear Parents of A2,

As we enter Week 18, we will focus on review and preparation for the upcoming Listening and Oral Exams. Here are the important details:

  1. Review of Weeks 11-16 Vocabulary and Definitions
    Throughout the week, students will participate in various activities and complete written assignments to reinforce their understanding of words and definitions from Weeks 11-16. This is crucial preparation for their Listening Exam, which will take place next Monday, December 30th.

  2. Listening Exam
    The listening exam, scheduled for Monday, December 30th, will cover the vocabulary and concepts reviewed during Week 18.

  3. Oral Exam
    For the Oral Exam, students will select a random number (1-5) corresponding to one of five spot-the-difference pictures. They will then explain in complete sentences the five differences they notice between Picture A and Picture B.

  4. Note on Week 17 and Week 18 Content
    Please be aware that the words and story from Weeks 17 and 18, including A Birthday Basket for Tía, will not be included in the exam or

     tested in any form.

  5. Writing Lessons for A2 Students
    Beginning each Monday, A2 students will have dedicated writing lessons to help build their writing skills and prepare them for the Grade 3 Reading Street curriculum.

  6. Wednesday, December 25th - Grade 3 Outing Day
    Please note that this Wednesday, all Grade 3 students will be participating in an outing. There will be no regular classes on this day.

This upcoming week ahead, students will continue their journey through the story Carl the Complainer , which will help reinforce key reading skills, including identifying cause and effect relationships. Spelling words from RWN Week 14 Vocabulary PPT   Firefighter Story Story Summary Pronouns Dear A2 Parents,  In the upcoming week, our class will continue exploring the Firefighter Unit in our Reading Street series. We have some exciting and important lessons planned to enhance the students' reading, spelling, and grammar skills.
