We have some exciting and important lessons planned to enhance the students' reading, spelling, and grammar skills. This week's focus includes several important language skills that will build on their understanding of grammar, spelling, and reading comprehension. Communication book words will be introduced by PPT and students will need to be able to recognize, define, and have the know-how for usage in sentence form.  Additionally: Spelling and Suffixes : We will introduce new spelling words that end with the suffixes -ly , -ful , -er , and -est . Your child will learn the definitions of these suffixes and how they change the meaning of base words. Please encourage them to practice these words at home. Today was a fantastic start to the week, with students showing great enthusiasm and attentiveness throughout our lessons. We began our second official writing assignment: A Thank You Letter . This assignment will help students practice expressing gratitude in a thoughtful and structured way, while also developing their writing skills. They have already shown eagerness in getting started, and I look forward to seeing their creativity and sincerity come through in their work.
