Dear Parents,

I am pleased to share that our A2 students took their first vocabulary quiz today, and I am very happy with their performance. As we embark on this new school year, I am continually assessing my teaching methods and pacing to ensure the best learning experience for our students.

Next week, I will be rearranging the seating in the classroom and reinforcing our rules and procedures. One of the key expectations in my class is maintaining an English-only environment. It is crucial for your child’s language development that they adhere to this rule.

Please take a few moments to review your child’s quiz and score. I hope this will help them prepare for future assessments. Vocabulary quizzes will be conducted weekly, and students will need to demonstrate their understanding by knowing the definitions, matching words with pictures, and using the words correctly. In addition, there will be spelling quizzes, which will be based on words from the Readers & Writers Notebook (RWN).

Your support is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing continued growth in your child’s English skills.

This upcoming week ahead, students will continue their journey through the story Carl the Complainer , which will help reinforce key reading skills, including identifying cause and effect relationships. In addition to reading, we will focus on grammar lessons in our Reading and Writing Notebooks (RWNB), covering pronouns and multiple-meaning words that can function as both nouns and verbs. Week 16 will also mark an important milestone as students take their final Reading Street 2.2  unit test of the semester. Spelling words from RWN Week 14 Vocabulary PPT   Firefighter Story Story Summary Pronouns Dear A2 Parents,  In the upcoming week, our class will continue exploring the Firefighter Unit in our Reading Street series. We have some exciting and important lessons planned to enhance the students' reading, spelling, and grammar skills.
